Here is a recap from last year’s campaign:
In 2018, The Big Dave Show set a goal for their listeners during the week of June 18-22 to donate $25,000 to the Battle Buddy Foundation to purchase a service dog for a local veteran.
The mission: One Pet; One Vet.
The station’s listeners DOUBLED that goal with over $50,000 raised, providing not one, but two, service dogs for Tri-State heroes! Here is the announcement:
These are the two German Shepherd puppies that were chosen to become service dogs for two Tri-State veterans! Meet Foxtrot and Big Red One! When they were 11 weeks old, they visited the B-105 studios. They had already started their training through the Battle Buddy Foundation. Because of listener generosity, all costs–including veterinary bills, dog food and ongoing training–will be taken care of for the veterans for as long as they have the dogs!
Watch Big Dave & Chelsie meet the puppies!
