We Will Never Forget.  Today is the 18th Anniversary of the Attacks on 9/11.

Nearly 3,000 people died Sept. 11, 2001, when terrorists hijacked four planes.

Here are some local places to honor the fallen.

-The Northern Kentucky Firefighters Association and the Newport Fire/EMS Department will hold a 10 a.m. ceremony at the World Peace Bell site at 425 York St. in Newport.

-The 5th Annual 9/11 Stair Run will begin at 6:46 a.m. at the University of Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium.

-In the northern Cincinnati suburbs, police fire and military will speak at an 8:30 a.m. service at the 9/11 Memorial across from 822 Memorial Dr. in Lebanon near the Warren County Courthouse.

-Another ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. at Chesterwood Village off Tylersville Road near Cox Road in West Chester Township.

-In Hamilton, the Butler County Safety Service Sept. 11 Memorial Service will start at 7 p.m. at the Firefighter’s Memorial next to the log cabin on Monument Ave.

Jennifer Lopez is in talks to headline the halftime show at Super Bowl LIV

Fans have been campaigning for the superstar to take the NFL stage for years — and the February 2020 championship game in Miami would be an ideal time to do it. She and her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez, have close ties to the city, where the former New York Yankee grew up and the couple often vacation together. Meanwhile, Jay-Z, who partnered with the football league in August and will consult on the halftime show, played coy about rumors that Lopez is in the running to headline.

Recruiters Look to Hire Veterans at Job Fair Thursday at GABP

At least 40 businesses will be looking to add veterans to their teams during a Cincinnati Veterans Job Fair Thursday.

The DAV/RecruitMilitary event is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Great American Ball Park.  It takes place in the Champions Club at Great American Ball Park.

The fair allows transitioning military, veterans and their spouses to meet with recruiters from dozens of companies. The event is free. Click here for more info.

‘Storm Area 51’ Creator Severs Ties With Alienstock Festival, Calls It ‘FyreFest 2.0’ And ‘A Possible Humanitarian Disaster’

n response to the dangerousness and unlawfulness of the original event, which called for people to storm the top-secret military base near Rachel, Nevada to “see them aliens,” AlienStock was put together to turn the hoax-gone-wrong into something positive, with plans for music and more during the weekend of Sept. 19.  The latest is they plan on moving it to Las Vegas.
