Rose Lavelle Is The New FIFA Women’s World Cup Star 

Lavelle, who is from Kenwood, helped the United States cinch their fourth Women’s FIFA World Cup title when she added a goal in the 69th minute of the match, with a final score of 2-0.  Now, she’s taking social media by storm in her hometown.  As of Sunday night, she’s the top trending topic on Twitter in Cincinnati, with over 60,000 mentions in tweets from around the Tri-State and beyond.

“It’s been a long journey and it doesn’t seem real yet. It really hasn’t hit me,” she said. “It’s like so surreal, and I feel so lucky to be a part of this group and play alongside these players.”

Chick-fil-A is celebrating its 15th annual Cow Appreciation Day on today, July 9. Anyone who visits a Chick-fil-A restaurant dressed as a cow will receive a free entree (excluding salads) at Chick-fil-A’s more than 2,400 locations nationwide. The offer can also be used on breakfast items during breakfast hours. The celebration will last from opening to 7 p.m.

NKY Man Gored By Bull Wants To Do It Again 

The 23-year-old was smiling right before his encounter with the bull and he was still smiling later in a hospital bed Monday. Froelicher was gored in the left thigh, a 15-centimeter piercing. But the patient is doing well and after some observation for another day or so, he is expected to be discharged.

Garth Brooks Could Show Up At A Local Dive Bar Near You

The country music superstar will be trading in his sold out arenas for dive bars that will create intimate gatherings for a handful of lucky fans. Brooks announced the Dive Bar Tour Sunday night on his weekly Facebook fan chat. The tour will span seven cities and kicks off July 15 in Chicago. The rest of the tour dates and cities will be announced July 15. The theme of the tour is a nod to Garths’ newest single, “Dive Bar,” performed with fellow country music star Blake Shelton. This comes as Garth is in the first year of his planned three-year stadium tour.

White Claw Is Now More Popular Than Virtually Every Craft Beer In Existence

The outlet reports White Claw is now one of the top 25 best-selling malt-based beverages in America and that restaurants and retailers are starting to take note of its popularity as more and more drinkers figuratively dip their toes into the sparkling water. Blue Moon is the only craft beer selling more. Nielsen studies show hard seltzers have had a 193-percent sales growth compared to a year ago, and the assorted flavor packs account for a majority of sales.  The industry thinks when a new beverage trend comes in they typically see a rise in sales, but after time passes those product sales usually level out.  Only time will tell.
