The iconic Hudepohl Brewery smokestack, a reminder of more than 120 years of big beer breweries in the Queen City, began to come down Sunday

SkyStar Observation Wheel Extends Stay at The Banks, Again

“It’s just very much loved in the community,” said Phil Beck, the executive director of The Banks Project. “There really is no downside to it.”  The 150-foot-tall, mobile Ferris wheel was scheduled to roll out of Cincinnati on Sunday after an already extended stay.  Beck added he hopes to share as early as next week how much longer people will be able to ride the big wheel on the Riverfront. “We will be in Cincinnati at least until the end of June,” SkyStar responded. “We will release more information as it becomes available.” “It won’t be indefinite,” he added.

Babe Ruth’s Jersey Sold at Auction for $5.6 Million

A Babe Ruth New York Yankees jersey from 1928-1930 fetched $5.64 million at auction Saturday, making it the most expensive piece of sports memorabilia ever sold, according to the auction house. The previous record was a 1920 Babe Ruth jersey that went for $4.4 million.

Ragú Pasta Sauces Recalled Because of Plastic Bits

The owner of Ragú is recalling some of its jars of pasta sauce over the possibility that they may contain plastic fragments, the company said. The affected products are:

-45-ounce chunky tomato, garlic & onion, with a June 6, 2020, best-by date
-66-ounce chunky tomato, garlic & onion, with a June 5, 2020, best-by date
-66-ounce chunky tomato, garlic & onion, with a June 6, 2020, best-by date
-66-ounce old world style traditional, with a June 4, 2020, best-by date
-66-ounce old world style meat, with a June 5, 2020, best-by date
The sauces, produced earlier this month, were distributed nationally, the company said. “Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be discarded or returned to the place of purchase for a refund,”
