Keith Urban Offered George Strait a Repeat Performance After Jumping out of a Giant Cake – In early April, Keith Urban helped country icon Loretta Lynn celebrate her upcoming 87th birthday by jumping out of a giant birthday cake. It was the fulfillment of a birthday wish from Lynn, but when Urban offered to jump out of George Starait’s cake, he turned Keith down.
“George said, ‘I can’t believe you’re jumping out of a cake!'” Urban recalls, adding that he then offered to do the same thing for Strait’s 87th birthday (which won’t be until 2039). “He said, ‘I think I’ll have Lee Ann Womack do it,'” Urban recounts, “‘but thank you.'”

Extreme Weather – A powerful “bomb cyclone” is whipping the Rockies and Plains for the second time in four weeks, dropping snow that is making travel miserable from Colorado to Minnesota and beyond, delivering a temperature shock to a region that had been enjoying more springlike conditions. Up to two feet of snow is forecasted as the slow-moving storm hovers over the region and could break records for April in Great Plains.
