Mister Rogers’s Widow Says He Used to Fart to Make Her Laugh
In a rather lovely profile in the Los Angeles Times, Joanne Rogers, 91, discussed her relationship with Fred, whom she met when she was 24.
Joanne, who helped consult on A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, also wanted to make sure the film conveyed the full gamut of her husband’s personality. For instance:
She was keener on imparting to the writers just how funny Fred was. If the couple was out at an event that turned out to be bland, he had a go-to way of making her laugh: passing gas.
“He would just raise one cheek and he would look at me and smile,” she said, cracking herself up.
Elon Musk Agrees To Tug-Of-War Rematch Between A Tesla Cybertruck And F-150 After Ford Called Him Out

Simply put, the F-150 used in this video is noticeably lighter, cheaper, and probably significantly underpowered compared to its all-electric opponent – and in tug of war competitions, it’s the engine output and weight of the vehicle that basically decide the winner. Also, the Cybertruck appears to be the one taking the slack and building forward momentum before the F-150 starts doing anything. Add to that the lack of an AWD system on the F-150 and a locking rear differential, plus the instant torque of the Cybertruck due to its all-electric powertrain. Now we wait for the rematch.
Is Black Friday Even Worth It Anymore?
Open Containers Allowed At New NKY Entertainment District
The newly designated Bellevue Entertainment District opens this weekend, meaning patrons can openly carry alcoholic beverages on city sidewalks within the district.
Patrons wishing to carry their drinks throughout the entertainment district must purchase a reusable cup for 50 cents from a qualifying establishment within the district. The cups can be filled with “to go” alcoholic beverages, which means that patrons may stroll with their drinks on sidewalks and crosswalks on Fairfield Avenue between O’Fallon Avenue and Riviera Drive/Riverboat Row and into the bars, restaurants and other businesses located there.
Friday will be the first evening that patrons of the businesses along Fairfield Avenue may openly carry alcohol. The hours of operation for the Bellevue Entertainment District are noon through 10 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Signs designating the boundaries of the entertainment district are posted on Fairfield Avenue.
