Burrow underwent surgery in Los Angeles with Dr. El Attrache, who works with the Rams. Meanwhile, Whitworth was also working with that Doctor.
the two former LSU Tigers met in rehab, sparking a friendship.
From that point forward, the two became great friends.
When Burrow turned 24 in 2020, Joe and his girlfriend spent his birthday with Whitworth and his family.
Whitworth won a national championship at LSU in 2003, and Burrow won a national championship at LSU in 2020.
Now, 14 months later, both Burrow and Whitworth are fully healthy. They will play one another Sunday.
