Zayn ‘wants summer wedding’

Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards will apparently tie the knot in June.

The One Direction hottie popped the question last month, with Perrie showing off her ring at the UK premiere of the band’s movie This Is Us.

Speculation has been rife about when things will be made official, but British magazine Heat now claims the ceremony will be next summer.

Insiders tell the magazine Zayn, 20, wants “the greatest wedding ever” and is happy to spend around £1.2 million on their big day.

Perrie, also 20, and her dark-haired beau have apparently got Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin in their sights, the venue where high-profile couple Victoria and David Beckham married.

Skibo Castle in Scotland, where Madonna and Guy Ritchie wed, is reportedly also on their list of potential venues.

According to Heat, singer Perrie has already been talking to designer Vera Wang about sorting her out with an elaborate gown for the biggest day of her life.

Her Little Mix bandmates Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall will apparently be taking on the role of bridesmaids, while One Direction will be groomsmen.

Zayn will have the tough task of picking one of Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson or Liam Payne to be best man, but allegedly Niall is certain he will be the one.

While the boys will be involved, there will reportedly be no singing by the band on the menu.

However, they have asked UK singer and fellow former The X Factor contestant Olly Murs to perform, according to the magazine.

While Perrie is Christian, Zayn has been brought up Muslim and the pair are said to be keen to involve both religions in the ceremony.

“Zayn’s mom Patricia, converted to Islam when she married Yaser [Zayn’s dad], so Perrie’s been asking about what this involves. She’s hoping to talk over her plans with a priest and a Muslim officiant,” an insider previously told British magazine Look. “She’s even weighing up having a ceremony that combines both religions. She loves the idea of coming down the aisle to traditional Muslim music. Flowers blessed with rosewater play a big part in Islamic weddings and Perrie thinks she could work this into their day, too.”
