Zac Efron’s family are his “rock”.
The 25-year-old actor has been going through a rough patch in recent months, following reports he received treatment for a cocaine addiction. Zac has paid tribute to his loved ones for always offering their support during difficult periods.
“My family is my rock. I know they’re not going anywhere,” he said during a Q&A session while promoting his new movie That Awkward Moment. “More and more I come to rely on my little brother to keep me grounded.”
Zac can also turn to his friends when he needs help.
“I know my family’s always gonna be there, but then there’s also – as life changes, sometimes they can’t really be there for you in the way that you need so I’ll rely on my friends,” he explained.
The star’s new comedy That Awkward Moment follows a group of friends who vow to stay single for as long as possible.
Zac, who previously dated his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens, revealed the qualities he looks for in a woman.
The heartthrob is attracted to someone with “a nice smile”, confidence and who is “creative and smart”.
While many people may be finding love online now, Zac prefers to follow a more traditional route. He isn’t interested in meeting new women on social networking pages.
“I haven’t really used Facebook before,” he said, when asked if he’d ever searched for information about a girl through the site. “I think I’ve been around friends when they’re looking at pictures or something like that on Facebook. I couldn’t even log on right now if I had to.”
