Witherspoon’s ‘unusual advice’ to Delevingne

Reese Witherspoon couldn’t pronounce Cara Delevingne’s surname at the Met Gala earlier this week.

The Oscar winning actress spent a lot of the evening with the 21-year-old British model as they were both wearing outfits by designer Stella McCartney. As well as posing together for photographs on the red carpet, Cara also uploaded videos from inside the event.

“The confusion @reesewitherspoon @zooeydeschanel @tennesseebunny @kateupton #HAHAHAHA #loveyouladies,” the supermodel wrote alongside the first video she posted on her Instagram account.

The clip shows Reese and fellow actresses Zooey Deschanel, Kate Upton, and Tennessee Thomas huddled together in an elevator. They all soon start joking about how to pronounce Cara’s unusual surname.

“If you force me to say your last name, I’ll be f***ed,” Reese is heard joking.

Cara was quick to post another video featuring the Walk the Line actress. In it, the 38-year-old attempts to say her surname despite her previous reluctance.

“I love you Caara, Car-a, I don’t know what your f***ing name is,” she joked before slowly pronouncing “Del-e-ving-ne.”

Once the mum-of-three got the formalities out of the way, she imparted some unusual words of wisdom on the Burberry model.

“The most important thing for a name for a girl is that a man can whisper it in his pillow,” she quipped. Cara was clearly entertained by the actress, captioning the video, “I ??U @reesewitherspoon #wisewords #loveitwhenyousaymyname #cheeky.”

However soon after posting the short films, they were promptly deleted.
