Emma Watson has reportedly found a new love who’s “a hit with the girls”.
The 23-year-old actress ended her longterm relationship with Oxford University student William Adamowicz last summer, according to her spokesperson.
And UK newspaper The Mirror reports Emma has already moved on, as she is smitten with 21-year-old Oxford student Matthew Janney, a popular rugby player at the school.
“It’s early days but they’re very much in to each other. Matt’s a real hit with the girls but he may have finally met his match,” a source said.
“She doesn’t suffer fools gladly. But Matt’s a lovely guy, charismatic and intelligent. They make a great couple.”
News of the rumored romance comes just days after Emma’s representative confirmed her split from William, despite claims the pair were close to becoming engaged.
“Emma and Will separated last summer and are no longer in touch,” her spokesperson said.
The pair had met at Oxford in 2011 and reportedly began dating shortly after. William recently become embroiled in controversy after he was pictured with a white powder, a $100 bill and a New York City MetroCard splayed on a table in front of him. The 23-year-old denied the powdery substance in the image was a drug.
Emma’s publicist declined to comment further on reports of her budding romance, stating simply: “We do not comment on speculation regarding our clients’ private lives.”
