Courtney Stafford died in a tragic car wreck early Sunday morning in Delhi. To help her family with the final expenses they came up with a Walk For Courtney!, this Saturday at 2pm at Veterans Park! We will be selling t-shirts, bracelets, and hopefully raffling off some donated items. We are trying to get as many people to come out as possible, whether they knew Courtney or not, to celebrate a beautiful life that was taken way to early, and to support family and friends that are grieving the loss. Courtney impacted so many lives, and now its our turn to do something In honor of that impact she had.
Courtney Stafford was driving west bound on Delhi Road near the 4200 block when she crossed the center line for an unknown reason. Stafford’s vehicle struck a private ambulance that was traveling east bound, head-on. The private ambulance was transporting a patient to Good Sam Hospital, but it was not operating with lights and sirens. Three occupants from the private ambulance were transported to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Stafford, resident of Delhi Township was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was transported to the Hamilton County Coroner’s office and is awaiting autopsy. Police say that speed and alcohol do not appear to be a factor, but the crash remains under investigation.
The Delhi Police Department says “this is a tragic loss for the family of Courtney Stafford. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Stafford family.”
There will be a “Walk for Courtney,” on Saturday September 28 at Veteran’s Park, 6303 Harrison Avenue in Green Township starting at 2:00 p.m. All proceeds will go to funeral expenses.
