Sofia Vergara has reportedly splashed out $10.6 million on a Beverly Hills home.
The Modern Family star has spent the sum on an 11,400-square-foot villa in the posh California neighborhood, according to real-estate website Trulia.
The mansion reportedly includes seven bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, a 3,000-bottle wine cellar, a movie theatre, pool, spa, high ceilings, a chef’s kitchen, gym, sauna, full bar and an entertaining room.
Sofia certainly has plenty of money to spare, according to Forbes magazine.
The outlet crowned the 41-year-old star TV’s highest paid actress for the second year in a row last year, earning an estimated $30 million between June 2012 and June 2013.
The magazine dubbed Sofia the “reigning queen of celebrity endorsement deals”, citing her work with as Diet Pepsi, Comcast, Covergirl, Rooms To Go, thyroid medicine Synthroid and the actress’ reported $7 million advance for her collection at Kmart.
They also accounted for earnings made from licensing deals and series work, including Sofia’s title as executive producer on US drama Killer Woman in addition to her starring role on Modern Family.
Sofia recently gushed about how much she loves raking in funds from her many deals.
“I’m not ashamed to say I love making money,” she told Glam Belleza Latina back in September, although she noted. “I like business, and the truth is I save way more than I spend. I invest. I plan for the future. I have a special eye for opportunities and work harder than anyone might expect. It is fun to shock people with my business ideas.”
Sofia admitted, however, she often feels people underestimate her.
Many people she meets expect her to be just like her ditzy Modern Family alter-ego Gloria, and Sofia enjoys proving them wrong.
“I think that the concept of being sexy and smart is difficult for many to grasp,” she claimed. “Most people are more comfortable with the notion of ‘sexy bimbo.’ And I have to admit that I’ve capitalized on that to negotiate a couple of times, when the ‘smart ones’ think I have no idea what I can deliver, and I end up costing them more.”
