Victoria Beckham is reportedly fitting her new London home with a “James Bond-style” kitchen.
The fashion designer and her husband David have splashed out $71.7 million on their mansion and are having the four-story property completely renovated.
Money is no object when it comes to the changes being planned, with one room getting a high tech overhaul.
“Victoria’s planning a massive overhaul of the whole place, while remaining sympathetic to the house’s original features. She’s set aside a cool half a million for her James Bond-style kitchen alone,” an insider told British magazine Heat.
“It won’t even look like a kitchen when it’s done, as all of the appliances – the cooker, the fridge – will disappear into marble units at the press of a button.”
The garden is also being changed, with Victoria apparently keen to show off how green-fingered she is.
“Victoria also has plans to grow her own organic veggies – macrobiotic salads, alfalfa sprouts and so on – in a state-of-the-art greenhouse outside,” the source added.
The star couple’s four children will also be well catered for. The boys are getting some space to play in, with the designer and former sportsman not missing out either. David will have his own study and a dark room so he can pursue his interest in photography.
“The boys are having their own gaming room – Romeo’s really into the drums right now, so it’ll be soundproofed too. Victoria’s spending around $163,000 on a home gym so she can work out with one of Tracy Anderson’s trainers over here, and there’s even talk of a Bikram studio,” the source claimed.
“Victoria wants the home to feel regal. It’s fitting, because there’s talk of David being knighted. She just wants a really amazing London home that looks incredible. She can’t wait for work to start.”
