James Van Der Beek feels “outnumbered” by girls since welcoming his third child.
The Dawson’s Creek actor confirmed today that his wife Kimberly Brook gave birth to a daughter on January 25.
Together the pair already have children Olivia and Joshua, but their new arrival means there are now more females in the Van Der Beek household.
“Outnumbered by kids, outnumbered by girls, outlandishly grateful and thrilled… Watch out world, VDB baby #3 made her debut last night (sic),” proud father James posted on Twitter.
A representative confirmed to People magazine that the little girl weighed 7lb. 8oz. at birth, but they are yet to reveal a name for her.
“Kimberly and little one are doing really well,” the rep added to the publication.
The star and his wife were adamant they didn’t want to know their new arrival’s gender prior to the birth.
For the couple it wasn’t a big deal if they were welcoming a boy or girl.
“We have no idea. The doctor doesn’t even know. It’s a surprise!” Kimberly previously laughed to Us Weekly. “I’m the person who could have had three boys or three girls and not care. Also I was always into keeping the surprise, but at the end of the day I had a hard time. I think I have more willpower this time!”
It looks like things will be busy for the family now that their little bundle of joy is here.
James, 36, recently joked that his brood leave him little time for anything else.
“Need a word for all the tweets & text replies I start but don’t finish b/c I have a kid tugging at my pant leg requiring immediate (sic),” he trailed off on Twitter.
