Tori Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott are “communicating” according to reports.
The couple have had a turbulent few months since Dean was accused of cheating on his wife in December.
The actor entered rehab on January 23 to “address some health and personal issues.”
But according to People Magazine, the couple are slowly making some progress.
“They’re communicating,” a source told the publication. “That’s a step.”
Tori and Dean married in May 2006 and have four children together, Liam, six, Stella, five, Hattie, two, and Finn, 16 months.
Tori regularly visits her husband and Dean has been able to leave the rehabilitation facility to visit his family.
However despite their new found communication, it hasn’t made the situation any easier for the former Beverley Hills 90210 actress.
“[Tori]is having a tough time,” the source added. “It’s been awful.”
Part of the struggle could be the financial strain Dean’s time in rehab is having on the family.
Reports earlier this week revealed that Tori is footing the bill for his treatment at a cost of between $60,000 and $70,000 a month.
“Not only is Tori dealing with allegations of Dean’s cheating and being a single mom right now, she’s also stressed about standing by her man’s finances,” a source told Life & Style magazine.
However Tori is still sporting her wedding ring and insiders close to the star believe the couple can overcome the cheating scandal.
The source said, “It seems like she’ll be able to forgive him but I don’t think she will ever forget.”
