Charlize Theron will return to host Saturday Night Live later this year.
The Oscar-winning actress has been announced as a last-minute addition to the star-studded line-up of the hit comedy sketch show.
Entertainment Weekly reports Charlize will host SNL for the second time on May 10, with The Black Keys serving as musical guest.
Producers have also handed hosting duties to The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield, who will make his debut in the role on May 3, with Coldplay serving as musical guest.
And on May 17 Andy Samberg, who left the show in 2012, will return to host, with St. Vincent playing that night.
Charlize can next be seen in forthcoming western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West, directed by funnyman Seth MacFarlane.
The actress should have plenty of material to play off of for her upcoming appearance.
In addition to the promotion of her new film, the star’s personal life has been the subject of intense scrutiny as of late, after Sean Penn appeared to confirm rumors the pair were romantic by calling her a “keeper”.
Charlize had been single since her nine-year relationship to actor Stuart Townsend crumbled in 2010, while Sean is said to have dated a string of younger actresses in the last few years, including Scarlett Johansson.
Despite constant speculation about the status of their relationship, the pair are said to be stronger than ever.
“Charlize built a friendship with Sean before taking it further. They met over a decade ago through friends, and now she’s fallen for him,” a source told British magazine Closer back in February. “Her and Sean are inseparable – he practically lives at her home. She’s told pals she’s the happiest she’s been in years.”
