Big Dave is proud to call Murfreesboro, Tennessee, his hometown—it’s where he grew up and went to college, graduating with a degree in radio and television. After a couple years working in radio in Nashville, Dave moved to The Queen City in 1998 to do the morning show on Young Country Y-96.
One day Dave got an email from a young lady inquiring about the on sale date for Dwight Yoakam tickets. One email led to another and then to a blind date, and three years and about 60 or so Reds games later, they were married! In 2005, Dave was brought in to do nights on B-105. The show was big on fun, big on requests and big in the ratings. Then, in 2008, Dave moved into the afternoon drive slot, and Chelsie came along in 2010 to settle him down a bit.
He and Chelsie brought their talents to the B-105 Morning Show in August 2014, and along with Statt, there’s never a dull moment in the studio from 5-10 a.m.
Dave lives in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, with his wife Carri and their two children, Darah and Darren. He is very active in his church, and he can often be found emceeing various charity events around the Tri-State. In his spare time, Dave likes to garden, do home improvement projects, play guitar and be an extreme goofball with his kids!
