Victoria and David Beckham don’t have a “traditional” family life.
The celebrity power couple recently relocated from LA back to London, with their four children Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 11, Cruz, eight and two-year-old Harper.
After 38-year-old David announced last week that he’s become the owner of the Miami MLS soccer team, the Beckham family face long separations as both David and Victoria travel abroad for work.
“This is how the Beckhams have always lived their lives. They’re not traditional; they’re always on the move. Their family is stronger than ever since the move to London and the kids are all happy. So Victoria and David knew that they were both ready to push on with their careers once again,” a source revealed to British magazine Now.
The busy work schedules are not a new obstacle for the family to overcome, and they’re used to juggling work and home life.
Victoria’s fashion empire continues to grow from strength to strength, and she’s just celebrated a successful New York Fashion Week show.
“Of course David and Victoria are worried they’ll miss out on quality time and that isn’t easy. But they plan things with military precision. They’ll schedule family time and try to make sure they’re not both away from the children as much as possible. They’ll miss each other terribly when the other is away, but they have each other’s support. And Skype!
“It’s hard to know exactly how long they’ll be apart for. They usually try to keep their trips to a minimum of a few days at a time. But they’ll both be flying back and forth five or six times during the year, if not more,” the source continued.
Having family close by is said to be helping the situation, and both Victoria, 39, and David’s parents are on hand to help with the children.
“Their priority is the children and their happiness as a family. The fact that Victoria and David’s parents live near London helps, as they have a lot of support while they’re working. They’re excited about what 2014 will bring, although it’s not going to be easy,” added the insider.
