Robert De Niro will “consider” how intimidating he is.
The star’s latest venture is The Family, where he appears alongside 27-year-old Glee actress Dianna Agron.
She’s previously admitted she was nervous about working with the Hollywood icon and Robert thinks he should consider his status in the industry more.
“For me, when you’re working on a film, it’s all about working as a team and putting people at ease,” he explained to British magazine OK!
“It has never occurred to me that someone would find me intimidating to work with. Maybe I should consider that!”
The 70-year-old star and Dianna ended up getting along famously and he claims they would “definitely” work together again.
He’s been in the business for many years so has found ways to make his family life work alongside his career.
The actor is married to Grace Hightower and they have son Elliot as well as daughter Helen, who was born via surrogate.
Robert also has son Raphael with his ex-wife Diahnne Abbott, as well as adopting her daughter from a previous relationship, Drena.
His twins Julian and Aaron were born via surrogate while he was in a relationship with Toukie Smith.
“I was only away for maybe four or five weeks at a time,” he said of filming The Family.
“I made sure I went home for long weekends a few times in between filming, so it wasn’t too bad.”
The Family is about a notorious mafia clan and was filmed in Normandy, France.
Robert tried to make the most out of being in a different country.
“I had time to do certain things,” he said.
“We all had some free time at one point or other. Personally, I feel that when you’re shooting on location, you have to take advantage of it. You have to make sure you explore the area and what it has to offer because you’ll never know when you’ll get to go back there – if ever!”
