Victoria Beckham has reportedly ruled out a Spice Girls reunion tour.
The group will celebrate 20 years since they started in the industry in 2014, with some members keen to mark the occasion. Mel B is said to be pushing for a series of shows, but Victoria isn’t keen. Although she would be happy to shoot a documentary about the group, the fashion designer wants her main focus to remain with her clothing lines.
“Victoria sees 2014 as a year to concentrate on her fashion label, not her music,” a source told New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l column.
“She loved performing at the Olympics and reuniting, but that was a special event. Mel B has been working on project Spice 20 and sees that as a great opportunity to bring them all together.”
It’s thought Mel C is also up for the plan, although it’s unknown what the band’s other members Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton think.
Victoria is opening new offices in New York City early next year and has plans for her first stand-alone shop. She apparently fears reuniting with her band mates will take up too much of her time.
“Victoria feels she won’t have the time or desire to work on performing live again,” the insider explained. “Mel is always pushing for Spice projects. Her stint as a judge in Australian and American shows mean her profile is huge. Any Spice comeback would mean millions in the bank.”
Mel B has confirmed she would like a reunion next year, previously confirming she has already spoken to Mel C about it.

Mel B has said that a group made up of the children of her former Spice Girls’ band mates isn’t off the cards.
The 38-year-old Leeds born singer, who is now based in LA, and is making her musical come back with new single For Once in My Life, after eight years away from recording.
And now she might even be able to get her eldest daughter 14-year-old Phoenix Chi, who she had with first husband dancer Jimmy Gulzar, involved with music too.
“Who knows? I mean, we had a crack when we did the rehearsals for the Olympics last year. All our kids were together and they played happily, they are just regular kids.
“I wouldn’t want to say ‘oh my god my daughters are going to be the best singers or the best actress,’ who knows. I like kids to just be kids,” she explained to OK magazine.
But the former Scary Spice has confessed a reunion with her old band mates Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham, is never far from her thoughts.
She even admitted that it’s her who is the driving force between any reunions the Spice Girls may have. They last performed together at the closing ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics.
“I am always the one saying yes, we are going to get back together in a month, in two months, in two years, three years. It is the case of getting all of our schedules together,” she laughed.

Mel C used to lie about her age to get into bars.
The singer rose to fame alongside Mel B, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton and Geri Halliwell in ’90s pop group the Spice Girls.
She’ll turn 40 in January and is a mom to four-year-old Scarlet, but Mel can remember what it was like to be a rebellious teenager.
“Yes, before I was old enough to buy booze,” she answered British magazine Star when asked if she’d ever lied about her age.
“I never had a fake ID – we should never condone that – but we all have a little fib to get into a pub, don’t we? I’m 40 next year and life seems to be getting better as I get older, so I’m proud of my age.”
Mel has struggled with an eating disorder and depression in the past.
Looking back, she wishes she’d just relaxed more when she was younger.
“I would just say chill out and enjoy it, don’t get hung up about anything,” she mused when asked what advice she would give her 16-year-old self.
“I think there’s pressure growing up whatever you’re doing. The great thing about getting older is that you become more relaxed with yourself.”
While she might be happy now, the star did acknowledge there’s one thing that scares her about ageing.
Mel has a fear of family and friends getting ill as they get older and also worries about Scarlet’s welfare.
