Kate Bosworth collects love notes from her husband.
The actress is married to director Michael Polish, who she met on the set of Big Sur back in 2011. Kate revealed her spouse’s romantic side when quizzed on what she likes to keep close.
“I like collecting love notes from my husband,” she told movie website Collider.
Kate also went on to discuss her challenging new role in crime thriller Homefront, in which she plays drug addict Cassie Bodine.
The 30-year-old blonde transformed herself to get into character and was determined to give a convincing performance.
“The challenge, I figured, would be to move her from being unsympathetic and this destructive lunatic. You see her on a scale of one to ten and she is an 11. She was issues, you know!” Kate laughed. “For me it was that challenge of navigating her journey and finding her dignity and humanity, rather than presenting this veneered drug addict. This was someone I could have known in my small home town, she didn’t get the life she wanted and she is unhappy.”
In Homefront, a former DEA agent moves his family to a quiet town, but soon becomes tangled up with a local meth drug lord. Kate is unrecognizable in the movie and has revealed the research she did to prepare for the movie.
“I studied meth and how it affects people and that seems to be pretty universal, you know, violent, aggressive, paranoid behavior,” she explained. “It’s a quick demise.”
Homefront, directed by Gary Fleder, also stars Jason Statham, James Franco and Winona Ryder.
