Channing Tatum is fantasizing about being a “set husband” forever.
The Hollywood hunk and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum welcomed their daughter Everly into the world four months ago. Jenna has already returned to work and is filming her TV show Witches of East End, which she couldn’t do without her husband.
“He is getting really good at being the set husband – that’s what I call him.
“He’s been amazing – every chance he gets he’s here,” she told ET Canada. “He’s like, ‘I could sit here and be set husband all day long. This is so fun!’”
While Jenna is busy on set Channing can usually be found rocking their daughter to sleep in her trailer. There are some things the Magic Mike star isn’t able to do alone though.
“I’m running back and forth breastfeeding,” she laughed.
Jenna was expecting shooting a show with a newborn to be difficult. But the program, which films in Vancouver, has run very smoothly thanks to the support Channing gives his wife. The couple planned ahead and spent the first four months of Everly’s life learning as much as they could about parenthood.
“We knew it was coming,” Jenna said. “I knew I had this show coming up, and we just knew, OK, let’s get through these four months and prepare for it as much as possible, which I’m learning is the key of motherhood: prepping. It’s going good so far.”

Channing Tatum’s wife gave him notes about “grinding on chicks”.
The Hollywood couple met on the set of their 2006 film Step Up and married three years later. Channing has praised his wife’s support throughout his acting career and feels lucky to receive her advice, even when she’s busy working on her own projects.
One movie which stands out in particular is Magic Mike, in which the 33-year-old actor plays a stripper.
“Of course she has her things that she’s working on but she always gives her woman’s touch,” he told British newspaper Metro. “She watched every cut of Magic Mike and gave notes upon notes. And that’s her watching me grind on chicks all day!”
The pair welcomed their first child, daughter Everly, in May. Channing recalled the tips people gave him about fatherhood before his daughter arrived and explained the surreal feeling of being a parent.
“It is so great to just step outside of yourself for a second and just know what’s important and know that it’s not you for once,” he gushed. “Everyone always tells you: ‘Wait, just wait. You’ll understand when you have a kid.’ Everyone says it, but you can’t realize what they mean until it happens.”
It may be just over three months since their baby was born but the couple are already thinking about the future. As long as Jenna, 32, is comfortable Channing revealed they would like more children.
“I think we both said the number three, but it’s really on Jenna. It’s what can she take,” he said. “You take it as it comes and if this one is a good experience, we will go again. If that one is a good one, we will go again. But you never know.”

Channing Tatum’s movie choices have given his friends a lot of “ammunition”.
The Hollywood hunk has enjoyed a varied career, appearing in dance film Step Up, stripper movie Magic Mike and action release G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra. He has also been named the sexiest man in the world by People magazine and his pals never let him live any of it down.
“You can’t understand the amount of ammunition I have given my friends over the years. I mean, I did a Disney dance movie!” he laughed to the latest edition of UK magazine Elle. “If you want to know how creative your friends can be, get an action figure that has your face on it. The things they can do are horrible and amazing.”
Channing might be teased about his time on the Step Up franchise, but it holds fond memories for the star. He met his wife Jenna Dewan on the films and they recently welcomed their first child into the world, a daughter called Everly.
The 33-year-old star is still getting his around the concept of fatherhood.
“At first I felt terrified, excited and unprepared. Jenna and I are very ambitious people, in our lives and our careers, but now this is happening it’s made us focus on something else that is not us. It is really nice and refreshing to step outside of yourself for a moment and know what is important and know that it is not you for once,” he explained.
Channing and Jenna met in 2006 and got married three years later. He is extremely careful not to take his wife for granted and has warned guys that romance isn’t all about lavish displays.
“I try to be [romantic],” he said. “I mean, if you get something for someone at Christmas, it’s expected. But if it’s a Tuesday in the middle of the month and they come home to find you’ve cleaned the house and cooked dinner, that’s nice. Guys, it’s really not that hard.”
