Taylor Swift has penned a song for a talent show contestant.
The American country singer got so emotional over Britain’s Got Talent contestant Paul Potts’ rise to fame that she wrote a song about him.
The tune titled Sweeter Than Fiction is due to be heard next Friday when it is premiered at Toronto Film Festival, according to British newspaper Daily Mail.
Paul shot to stardom as an amateur opera singer and now has a movie about his life named One Chance.
Comedian and actor James Corden will play him in the motion picture.
Taylor, 23, wrote what will undoubtedly be a catchy number with Jack Antonoff who plays guitar in the band Fun.
The track reportedly plays during the final credits of the motion picture and film boss Harvey Weinstein credited Simon Cowell for getting Taylor involved in the official soundtrack.
“Simon knows her through the One Direction connection and he thought she’d be touched by the film, and he was right because she was,” he shared with the newspaper.
The musician briefly dated One Direction’s Harry Styles and wrote her song In Knew You Were Trouble about their relationship late last year.
Taylor is also reportedly looking for connections in film and plans on making her debut on the silver screen soon.
It’s not the first time she has been involved in big screen productions as the crooner previously sang Safe & Sound on The Hunger Games soundtrack.
