Philip Seymour Hoffman was mourned by fellow celebrities at his wake yesterday.

The actor passed away last weekend, aged 46, after a suspected heroin overdose, although an autopsy has proved inconclusive.

On Thursday, stars gathered at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on Manhattan’s Upper East Side to pay their respects to Philip in a private wake.

Among them was Amy Adams, who co-starred alongside the actor in 2012’s The Master and 2008 drama Doubt.

Joaquin Phoenix, who also appeared in The Master, was there as well to say goodbye to Philip.

Michelle Williams, Justin Theroux, Cate Blanchett and Diane Sawyer were also among those mourning the star.

Blue Jasmine star Cate is thought to be particularly affected by Philip’s death and apparently missed out on a party for her latest film The Monuments Men earlier this week.

“It has been a tough few days for her,” a source told New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l column. “She was promoting the film and found herself visiting the devastated children of Philip Seymour Hoffman following his death. I think everyone will understand that she was in no mood to attend a party.”

The wake comes after a candlelight vigil was held for the actor at the Labyrinth Theater Company on Wednesday, which was attended by many fans.

Today there will also be a private funeral for Philip’s family and close friends.

Prior to his death Philip checked into rehab last year after 23 years of sobriety.
