Sylvester Stallone allegedly hurled a racial epithet at a paparazzo this week.
The actor was leaving Beverly Hills’ Caffe Roma with a friend on Thursday when the incident occurred.
According to footage from TMZ, Sly reportedly said: “This f**king n****r here, this f**ker.”
A female photographer is then heard asking, “Why the racial slurs?”
A spokesperson for Sly insists he was actually saying “f**king a**hole”, and was not making any racist insults.
The representative also claims the female photographer allegedly questioning the actor was not speaking directly to him and made the comment solely to create a scandal where none existed.
TMZ insists, however, the actor used the slur.
“The video is a little difficult to hear, but as Sly turns the corner and looks over his right shoulder – back at the paparazzi – you clearly hear him use the n word,” the website claims.
The incident is heavily reminiscent of Alec Baldwin’s alleged use of a homophobic insult towards a photographer earlier this week.
The actor denies calling the paparazzo a “f*g” and took to Twitter to defend himself.
“If @TMZ asserts that I used an anti-gay epithet, I will sue them,” Alec fumed. “Acoustic analysis proves the word is fathead. Fathead.”
Alec also courted controversy by shoving another photographer on Friday in New York. He then asked his gay hairstylist to tell waiting photographers and reporters that he is not homophobic.
