Spelling: I miss having my best friend

Tori Spelling

Tori Spelling has opened up about her conflicting feelings towards her husband Dean McDermott.

The couple are currently detailing their marriage crisis in the aftermath of his affair on their new reality show, True Tori. In the latest episode, Radar Online documents Tori’s thoughts as she is filmed driving to meet Dean, 47 at their therapist’s.

“I don’t know what I’m going to say to him today. I don’t know what to expect, to be honest. I know it’s gonna be hard, and at the same time I feel really excited to see him,” she explained in the footage filmed three weeks ago. “And I feel like that’s the wrong thing to say. I feel like it makes me sound weak. But it’s been really hard and I miss him. I miss having my best friend.”

Tori’s seven-year-marriage hit the rocks in December last year after reports surfaced that Dean slept with another woman while filming in Toronto, Canada. In January, the actor admitted himself into a rehabilitation facility to “address some health and personal issues.” The couple then took the unusual step in agreeing to be filmed while they try and rebuild their relationship. In the latest episode, the 40-year-old is seen fighting back tears as she explains how everything she thought she had had been taken away from her.

“I miss having that support, that person that’s your go-to in life. And that was just stripped from me. I had it for seven years and it was just gone one day,” she said.

“And I go on, I go on every single day as best I can. I don’t want to cry when I get there, because I don’t want him…I want to be strong.”
