Britney Spears reportedly wants a “traditional family”.
The 32-year-old singer has been dating 28-year-old family friend David Lucado for about a year. And sources say she’s finally ready to wed after months of speculation.
“She wants a traditional family, and he’s loving, down-to-earth – and a great stepfather to her sons, Sean and Jayden,” an insider told Life & Style magazine.
“She’s already told friends that if David dropped to one knee tomorrow, she would definitely say yes.”
Apparently David could be popping the question soon. The outlet reports he recently moved in with Britney and the couple “feel marriage is the next step for them”.
Britney has been married twice before.
The singer’s first marriage was to Jason Alexander in January 2004. The pair exchanged vows at a chapel in Las Vegas, although the union was annulled within 55 hours. In September of the same year she married dancer Kevin Federline, the father of her two boys. The former couple split in 2006.
Last month, reports emerged Britney was giving serious thought to her dream wedding.
Apparently another ceremony in Sin City, where she’s currently enjoying a two-year residency, would be out of the question.
“She wants a white wedding and a church ceremony, and she’ll have her close friends and family there,” the source said.
Recent reports have suggested Britney had toyed with the idea of exchanging vows in Hawaii. The couple were also said to be discussing a ceremony at Graceland, the former home of rock ‘n roll legend Elvis Presley.
A spokesperson for the star had yet to comment on the reports at press time.
