Sheen ‘donates to typhoon victims’

Charlie Sheen has reportedly donated $25,000 to relief efforts in the Philippines.

The Anger Management star is apparently doing his part to help the island country after Typhoon Haiyan slammed the region earlier this month, killing more than 5,000 people.

TMZ reports Charlie donated the sum last week to the PREDA Foundation, a human rights social development organization whose mission is to end poverty and fight injustice.

“We’re told the money is being used to locate children lost in the typhoon… as well as food for shelters,” the outlet reports.

It’s not the star’s first charitable donation this holiday season.

Charlie also donated $10,000 to The Walk To End Epilepsy, according to the website.

The generosity marks a sharp turn from weeks of bad press for the star, who is engaged in a bitter custody battle with ex-wife Brooke Mueller over their four-year-old twin boys Bob and Max.

Things came to a head earlier this month when he called Brooke an “awful parent” and claimed their sons had suffered “physical and emotional damage” while in her care.

TMZ claims a temporary restraining order was issued, prohibiting Charlie from going within 200 yards of Brooke, getting in touch with her and talking about the case publicly.

A judge has reportedly warned Charlie he will face jail time should he violate the order.
