Rebel Wilson hits back at rumors she’s set to be the face of a weight loss brand.
The actress, known for her larger than life comedy roles, has rubbished rumors that she’ll be fronting an international diet campaign.
The funny woman took to her Twitter account earlier today to tell fans that she’s too busy with work to think about weight loss and even poked fun at her size.
“I haven’t received any offers in the US to lose weight..and even if I did, right now I’m way too focused on doing Super Fun Night x
“I never wanna be too unhealthy though, so even though I like desserts (clearly), I still try to exercise e.g walk to shop to get ice-cream (sic),” she joked to her 1.5million followers.
This comes after reports claimed the Pitch Perfect actress was set to rake in millions becoming the spokeswoman for a diet brand.
“Rebel would be doing this strictly for the money. She’s built a comic persona out of being heavy and nobody in her world is pressuring her to lose weight. It would only be for the cash and the exposure,” a source told Radar.
Previously the 27-year-old actress was a spokesperson for Jenny Craig in her native Australia, writing a blog detailing her efforts to lose 55lbs.
The campaign ended in February after she shed more than 30lbs and moved to LA, as her movie career grew.
“Because of my filming commitments in America you have to sign contracts where you can’t change your physical appearance,” she explained at the time to the Kyle and Jackie O radio show.
Rebel is currently working on Kung Fu Panda 3, which is due out in 2015.
