Khloé Kardashian’s husband will reportedly come clean about his alleged drug use very soon.
The 29-year-old reality star’s marriage to professional basketball player Lamar Odom has been rocked by a string of sensational allegations in recent weeks, including accusations of infidelity and “hardcore” drug use on his behalf.
TMZ reported last week the 33-year-old has been battling with substance abuse for two years and quietly entered rehab last August.
As rumors swirl of an imminent divorce, a source tells Radar Online Lamar is close to coming forward with a public admission.
“Lamar is expected to release a statement admitting his addiction to the prescription meds,” the website claims.
An insider told the celebrity news outlet reports of Lamar’s alleged use of crack cocaine are false.
“Lamar’s vice has been Oxycontin,” the source claimed.
Reports of Lamar’s planned admission follow a denial from his agent, who came forward Monday to dismiss rumors his client had been missing for 72 hours after a failed intervention.
“Lamar is not missing. His wife knows exactly where he is,” Jeff Schwartz told ESPN.com.
Khloé also logged onto Twitter this weekend, launching into a tirade at those responsible for fueling the gossip.
“Really hard to sit here and listen to people talk s**t about my family! F**k you and shame on you! I’m too protective for this s**t!” she wrote on Sunday.
Khloé declined to confirm or deny the reports that the pair are now “effectively separated” and are considering divorce, nor did she comment on reports of Lamar’s alleged drug use and affairs.
The couple have been the center of controversy recently, after two women made claims they were intimate with Lamar following his 2009 marriage to Khloé.
