Nicki feels free

Nicki Minaj stripped off for Halloween because she’s been feeling “a lot freer” lately.

The singer dressed as a sexy cop for the spooky holiday last week, which involved donning fishnet tights, a black leather studded harness around her breasts and tape covering her nipples.

She posted an image of her getup on Instagram and it’s not the first time she has flashed her physique on the photo-sharing website.

“I’ve just been feeling a lot freer,” she told radio show The Breakfast Club. “If you feeling yourself, you might just want to show the world.”

Initially the 30-year-old star was planning to dress as a cheetah complete with face paint, but the costume didn’t arrive on time. It meant she had to get something together quickly, so picked up “any old thing” resulting in her eye-popping look.

Nicki has been laying down tracks for her next album recently, which is due out next year. She’s excited about the work so far and expects the record to top the charts when it comes out.

“The features are just the appetizer for the album,” she explained. “It’s very different from anything I’ve done, which I’m surprised about. I’m not feeling like, ‘Oh, I did this.’ I’m feeling this is next level.”

Nicki was also asked about the apparent snub by Kendrick Lamar, who didn’t mention her as a young artist worth watching for his verse on Big Sean’s track Control. Drake and A$AP Rocky were included, but Nicki isn’t bothered by her absence.

“I’m the Queen of New York; I’m the King of New York. Let me tell you why. Platinum albums,” she stated. “Albums. Plural. Number one in five motherf**kin’ countries, n***a. Don’t play with me. You better respect my motherf**kin’ gangsta, b***h. When you got an album that goes number one in Japan, the UK, Australia, America and Canada at the same motherf**kin’ time, then you can speak my motherf**kin’ name.”

The star later clarified her remarks on Twitter, insisting she hadn’t meant to sound aggressive as she was just joking. She also said Jay Z is the “King of NY” in her opinion.
