Charlie Sheen’s former brother-in-law has reportedly been appointed temporary guardian of his twin boys.
Radar Online reports Scott Mueller, the brother of Charlie’s ex-wife Brooke, was granted custody of four-year-old Bob and Max during a hearing at a Los Angeles court on Friday.
Brooke lost custody of the boys after she was put on a psychiatric hold in May following an alleged drug overdose.
During that time, Charlie’s former spouse, Denise Richards, became the twins’ primary caretaker.
Recent reports suggest Denise approached the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services with concerns she could not continue to care for the boys because of their “extreme violent mood swings” and “violent behavior”.
A source tells Radar Scott will get Bob and Max Friday evening and has the “blessing” of the DCFS.
Brooke recently completed an extended stay in rehab, according to the outlet, and is seeking to regain custody of the boys.
Charlie has been vocal about his opposition to his ex-wife obtaining guardianship.
Last week the Anger Management star went on a Twitter tirade in which he referred to Brooke as an “evil and pathetic über loser wh*re”.
He also lashed out at DCFS agents, stating the custody case was being handled like “an abhorrent d**k dance that has NOTHING to do protecting any child”.
The case continues.
