Mueller tests positive for Adderall

Brook Mueller has allegedly returned a positive test for Adderall.

The 36-year-old has previously blamed the drug for sending her to rehab last December, the 19th stint she’s had in a rehabilitation center.

She is currently fighting a public custody battle with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen for care of their four-year-old twins Max and Bob.

“[Brooke] tested positive for amphetamines under the court ordered drug tests she is required to take,” a source revealed to RadarOnline.com.

“However, the hair follicle test revealed that the positive result was from the Adderall that she takes for ADHD and has a prescription for. There is no indication that she is abusing crystal methamphetamine, as she has done in the past.”

Adderall is used to treat narcolepsy as well as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), for which Brooke is medically prescribed to take.

But sources close to the situation say Brooke should re-evaluate her choice to carry on with the drug, given her history with substance abuse, particularly Adderall.

“Brooke has snorted and smoked Adderall in the past. There is no way to determine if Brooke is snorting or smoking it, or if she is taking it in the pill form, as prescribed.

“But if Brooke was truly serious about her sobriety, you would have to think that she wouldn’t be taking Adderall. Someone with her extensive addiction to crystal meth can be treated with another class of prescription drugs that aren’t amphetamine based,” an insider said.

The use of the drug won’t affect her custody case, with one close friend even going as far to say that she is on track to regain full custody of her boys.

But her attorney has previously confirmed that Adderall has been a problem for Brooke,

“Brooke was uncomfortable with the way Adderall was making her behave,” commented her attorney Yale Galanter.
