Chloë Grace Moretz finds it weird when “freaked out” fans ask her to punch them “in the face”.
The 16-year-old actress is reprising her role as vigilante Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass 2, the upcoming sequel to the original 2010 Kick-Ass film.
Chloë has amassed a legion of fans thanks to her part in the popular cult movie, but admits she is still taken aback by weird reactions when she meets them.
“It’s funny. They’ve kind of grown up with me, too. When I did the first film I was 11. People still come up to me and say, ‘Oh my God! Wait, no! No way! That’s crazy!’ I’ve got an amazing fan group from it, and they’re really loyal. They freak out. They say, ‘Can you hit me or something?'” she laughed in an interview with Den Of Geek.
“That’s what someone said: ‘Can you punch me in the face?’ And I’m like, ‘What? No.'”
Chloë’s character uses a lot of foul language in the two movies. The blonde star is still not used to her character’s crass vocabulary, even though she is older now.
“I don’t cuss in my own time. It’s not a thing that I do,” she said, when asked if she is comfortable with the language.
“I was talking to my brother about it, and I said that it’s affecting me so much more now than when I was younger. Now it’s like, ugh, getting into my head as a normal thing to do. But my mom, she’s not cool with that!”
Chloë added that Hit-Girl extends her expressions in the upcoming film, laughing: “She gets a few new words. I guess she’s just a bit more creative!”
