Miley Cyrus smoked the competition at the MTV European Music Awards Sunday.

The We Can’t Stop singer took home the Best Video award for her new single Wrecking Ball at the ceremony in Amsterdam.

Stepping on stage to accept the prize, the 20-year-old singer shocked audiences when she reportedly lit up a marijuana joint, two days after she was photographed at the local Greenhouse coffee shop with other stars.

Katy Perry was also a top winner, taking home the prize for Best Female Singer, beating both Miley and Lady Gaga for the award.

One Direction took home the most awards of the night, including Best Pop and Best UK & Ireland Act, while fan favorite Harry Styles was crowned the Best Look winner.

Eminem cemented his comeback with Best Hip-Hop and the Global Icon lifetime achievement award.

Other winners included Beyoncé (Best Live Act), Bruno Mars (Best Song, Locked Out of Heaven), Justin Bieber (Best Male), Chris Lee (Worldwide Act), Linkin Park (Best World Stage), Avicii (Best Electronic), Green Day (Best Rock), Thirty Seconds To Mars (Best Alternative), Tokio Hotel (Biggest Fans), Austin Mahone (Best Push) and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis (Best New).

Miley, Katy and Eminem were among performers at the 20th annual event. Miley took the stage to belt out her award-winning single Wrecking Ball in a silver spandex suit, while Katy delivered a performance of her single Unconditionally suspended over the live audience. Eminem rocked the crowd with new single Rap God. Bruno Mars also performed his new single, Gorilla.

The 2013 MTV EMAs, held at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome, were hosted by LMFAO’s Redfoo.
