Miley shares ‘Miami Vice’ cover art

Miley Cyrus has revealed the retro cover art for her new album.

The 20-year-old is preparing for the October 8 release Bangerz.

After teasing the artwork all week, Miley released a photo of the cover on Saturday.

“You know the vintage YSL don’t stay on for long #bangerz #october8,” she tweeted with a link to a photo.

The colorful cover features Miley wearing an 80s-style black blazer and little else as she peers over her shoulder with a serious gaze.

Her silhouette is highlighted in purple and she’s surrounded by palm trees, an image reminiscent of popular 80s television drama Miami Vice.

The We Can’t Stop singer revealed the date her LP via Twitter earlier this month and said it’s her most original work to date.

During a #votemiley Q&A session Miley tweeted: “I had no preconceived ideas w/ this record.

“The album revealed its name about 8 songs in when I realized we got [nothing] but #bangerz. All ya gotta do is listen to my record once and you’ll know exactly why my record is called #BANGERZ #nothinbut.”

Miley collaborated with Future, Big Sean, Ludacris and Pharrell on the project.

The artwork release comes less than 24 hours before her highly anticipated performance at the MTV Video Music Awards.

She’s nominated in the best female and best pop categories for her We Can’t Stop promo and is confident she’ll bag at least one of the prizes.

Miley recently posted a picture of herself licking one of the ‘Moonman’ gongs on Twitter, boasting how she was looking forward to taking one home.

“It’s going to be super dope when I win my VMA, my Moonman, ’cause one I already made out with him, so now he has to go home with me,” she laughed to MTV News.
