Ian McKellen has officiated the marriage of his good friend Patrick Stewart.

The X-Men actor was proud to help his actor pal wed singer-songwriter Sunny Ozell and shared the news via his Facebook page on Sunday.

The thespian posed in a snap of him holding a black T-shirt with the word “Minister” written across it and clutched to a certificate of the couple’s marriage.

“I did my part,” the 74-year-old Lord of the Rings star captioned the image.

Meanwhile the 73-year-old groom spread word via his Twitter page but kept the announcement more casual.

“Yes, married,” he wrote alongside a picture of him and the bride neck deep in a ball pit.

According to Us Weekly the lovebirds are already enjoying their honeymoon getaway.

Patrick met his 35-year-old spouse at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 2008 and the pair have been in a relationship since.

He has two children from his previous union with Sheila Falconer, which lasted from 1966 to 1990, and he was married to Wendy Neuss from 2000 to 2003.

Patrick reprises his part as Professor Charles Xavier and Ian is Erik Lehnsherr in 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

In the next flick, the X-Men send Wolverine to the past “to change a major historical event that could globally impact man and mutant kind”, writes IMDb.
