Marvel’s biggest action stars descended upon Wimbledon at the weekend.
MTV News reports Samuel L. Jackson, Hugh Jackman, Bradley Cooper and Chris Hemsworth joined forces in London for the men’s finals match at the All England Club, watching Novak Djokovic score his second Wimbledon title by beating Roger Federer.
Wolverine star Hugh Jackman logged onto Twitter to share his excitement before the match, and was barely recognizable with his head shaved and sporting a goatee and mustache – a look he revealed last month for his role as Blackbeard in the new Pan movie.
“Just took our seats @Wimbledon. Amazing moment at the Men’s Championship. Djokovic vs Federer,” he captioned the photo of himself with wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
“What a privilege to have been @Wimbledon this year …. and to witness this incredible moment!!! @DjokerNole,” he captioned another photo after Novak Djokovic had taken home the Wimbledon cup.
Thor star Chris Hemsworth put down his hammer for a date with wife Elsa Pataky, the actor looking dapper in a suit and tie.
Samuel L. Jackson, famous for his role as World War II army hero Nick Fury in the Avengers series, took in the match wearing a seersucker suit.
Bradley, who stars as Rocket Raccoon in Marvel’s forthcoming action adventure Guardians of the Galaxy, was accompanied by girlfriend Suki Waterhouse.
The couple, who have been dating for just over a year, were snapped smiling at each other while looking loved-up as ever.
The outing came shortly after Bradley’s Guardians co-star Vin Diesel logged onto Facebook to tease the film’s August 1 release, revealing he was blown away by how well the superhero action flick came together.
“Today, I was invited by Disney and Marvel to see the latest cut of Guardians of the Galaxy and I was able to take the angels. WOW!!!!!” he wrote.
Vin, who plays an extraterrestrial tree-like character named Groot, also took a moment to thank his colleagues.
“To Marvel, Disney, the incredible cast and team and especially [director] James Gunn… Thank you for making a GREAT MOVIE! It was amazing and will always be special, for it was the first film I was able to take my family to see… they loved it,” he wrote.
