Leslie Mann has threatened her husband with a sex ban if he doesn’t win a comedy award.
The Other Woman actress has been married to producer and director Judd Apatow since 1997. The 46-year-old is nominated for an American Comedy Award for his work on Anchorman 2 while Leslie is one of the awards presenters. The 42-year-old was quick to explain how much pressure she was putting on her other half to bring home a win.
“I’m deeply honored to present the award for best comedy film” Leslie told the audience in a preview clip according to ETOnline.com. “It’s extra special for me because my husband, Judd Apatow Mann, is one of the nominees for Anchorman 2. So I told him before the show that if he doesn’t bring home the gold, I’m not going to do it with him for a year. So let’s see how this works out for me.”
The couple met on the set of 1996 movie The Cable Guy, when Judd worked as a producer and Leslie was cast as Matthew Broderick’s characters girlfriend. They married the following year and have two daughters together, 15-year-old Maude and Iris, 11.
The family have made a number of films together, including Knocked Up and its 2012 spin off, This is 40.
Judd has previously revealed how he hates to work away from home for too long.
“It’s sad that so much production leaves California,” Judd joked at The LA Times’ The Envelope Screening Series in 2012. “I make up ways to make it seem wrong to go out of state. I always try to think of how to stay close to the house. The kids go to school, I don’t like taking them to Louisiana.”
The winners of the American Comedy Awards will be announced on May 8.
