Jane Lynch will be joining Carson Daly for his New Year’s Eve countdown this year.
The Glee star is thrilled to be co-hosting with Carson, and says she can’t wait.
According to Jane, this will be her first time ever being in New York City’s Times Square for the celebration.
“I’ll be in the mix of it,” she told E! News. “I’m going to be freezing my butt off like everybody else. They say it’s a real experience so I’m looking forward to doing it.”
The actress also joked that her competition on the night should watch out for her. Jane warned other New Year’s Eve hosts to expect to hear from her.
“I’m going to be calling Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper over all the time,” she said. “We’re going to have a friendly war going on.”
Jane recently attended the Trevor Project’s TrevorLive benefit, where she was honored with the Hero Award.
The 53-year-old was very moved by the award, and says she is incredibly impressed by the work the Project does.
“I’m really humbled by this,” Jane said. “This is a big deal. I love what these people have been doing for 15 years and I’m in awe of the fact that it’s all volunteers and of all the kids who pick up the phone who have the guts to do that. It’s a night about love and commitment. I’m so honored to be a part of it.”
