Rob Lowe has landed a new comedy pilot.
The Parks & Recreation actor was announced Thursday as one of NBC’s potential stars for the network’s 2014-2015 season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rob will take on the lead role in The Pro, a single camera comedy “set in and around a tennis and golf club”.
Rob stars “as a former doubles champion who is reunited with his ex-partner after a public feud that left them both floundering in life,” THR reports.
The actor will also executive produce the project, working alongside Karey Burke and Marc Gurvitz and writers Peter Huyck and Alex Gregory.
NBC has reportedly tapped Todd Holland to executive produce and direct the pilot.
ABC Studios and Universal Television are behind the project.
Rob has no shortage of work on the horizon. In addition to the show, the actor recently wrapped production on forthcoming film Pocket Listing, a satirical thriller about Los Angeles real-estate, as well as dramatic comedy Sex Tape.
The Jake Kasdan-directed feature, co-starring Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel and Jack Black, tells the story of a married couple who wake up to discover an X-rated film they made the night before has gone missing.
Both films are scheduled for release later this year.
