Lohan’s mom ‘to have psych evaluation’

Lindsay Lohan’s mother has reportedly been ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.

Dina Lohan was in a Long Island, New York court on Thursday morning for her DWI case, stemming from her September 12 arrest on the Northern State Parkway.

The outlet reports Dina claimed she was distraught by photographers who were following her earlier that night, forcing her to flee while inebriated.

Dina’s lawyer, Mark Heller, told the court his client is now sober.

Reading a report by a court-appointed evaluator, ABC News reports he said: “The circumstances leading to Dina’s arrest were largely impacted by ongoing daily stresses caused by you folks, the paparazzi, media attention and distorted tabloid character profiles.

“After meeting Dina and her family and witnessing the care, compassion and concern shared between family members, it is my hope that the courts will take the circumstances and challenges of Dina’s lifestyle under consideration in prosecuting this case.”

Dina, 50, pleaded not guilty in September to driving while intoxicated and speeding.

Officers are said to have tested her blood alcohol level, which registered at .20 – more than double the legal limit of .08.

TMZ reports the judge will wait for the psychiatric evaluation to be submitted before he imposes a sentence.

Dina’s license is currently suspended.

She is next expected to appear in court on January 7.

The court appearance follows on the heels of accusations Dina’s troubled daughter, Lindsay, was recently involved in her own altercation with a paparazzo.

The actress was allegedly shooting her forthcoming reality series for Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network when a photographer says he was assaulted by members of the star’s entourage after recording her on his cell phone.

“She was walking, she was taking video with her crew, she’s posing, whatever. Then when they saw me the crew was like, ‘Stop filming, stop filming.’ [Lindsay] started yelling, ‘You’re invading my personal space,’” the paparazzo, who did not wish to be identified, told the New York Daily News.

“She told her assistant to grab my phone. Someone from her show grabbed for my phone and I said, ‘What are you doing?’

“I wasn’t upset or nothing till they tried to assault me,” he said.

Police have apparently declined to investigate the matter.

A spokesperson for Lindsay has not commented.
