Michael Lohan has been involved in a domestic dispute with his fiancée.

Lindsay Lohan’s father was the subject of several concerning tweets posted by Kate Major on Monday evening.

Kate claimed she was forced to lock herself and their one-year-old son, Landon, in a bedroom while Michael tried to break in with a knife.

“Threatening to take our son. What judge would rule for. him??? Stuck inside a house with this guy? He has a knife,” Kate wrote.

According to TMZ, police in Boca Raton, Florida responded to the home.

“Sources close to the couple tell us Michael is the one who called 911 when Kate started acting erratically… and locked herself in the room,” the website claims, adding: “We’re told officers want one of them to leave the house immediately — but Michael isn’t budging because he thinks Kate is drunk… and doesn’t want to leave her with the baby.”

Kate meanwhile posted messages in which she documented her side of the events.

“He says u should’ve never posted this on twitter now I’m putting u in jail Sick sick man -he should know jail- I’ve begged him to stay away,” she wrote.

Kate and Michael became engaged in 2010 but broke up shortly after with Kate accusing him of harassment and assault.

They announced they were expecting their first child together in July 2012.

Michael’s relationship with several family members is known to be strained.

Lindsay, his daughter with ex-wife Dina, has had a notoriously difficult relationship with her dad, going through multiple periods of estrangement. In 2009 the pair fell out after he released recordings he’d made of her private voicemails to him. The actress was heard sobbing and claiming no one loved her and he claimed he made them public to show she needed professional help.

In addition to Lindsay, Michael shares three other children with Dina. The former couple divorced in 2007 after 22 years of marriage.

He also has an 18-year-old daughter, Ashley Horn, from a previous relationship, according to UsWeekly.
