Lindsay Lohan has supposedly given her word to remain sober at Coachella.
The 27-year-old Mean Girls actress hopped on a plane from London’s Heathrow Airport Friday to California, as she is planning to attend the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio this weekend.
Lindsay completed a court-ordered stint in rehab last year, and TMZ reports she’s been telling concerned loved ones she won’t be intoxicated at the event.
According to the website, Lindsay is aware the party atmosphere at Coachella is “a risk to her sobriety, but she has been promising people she is going to stay sober.”
The star’s candid self-titled reality show is currently airing on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.
The program follows her road to sobriety after years of reckless behavior.
Lindsay recently discussed her battle to resist temptation, and she revealed it hasn’t been easy to stay away from narcotics.
“I’m sober but I’ve been very close [to relapsing]. It’s come very close and it’s really scary,” she said in the seventh installment of her show.
“I do love the nightlife and hearing loud music and dancing and laughing and having fun. That’s a great feeling. But it’s knowing when you’re able to be in that situation and not feel uncomfortable when someone has a drink around and stuff like that.”
Also during this episode, which was broadcast March 30, Lindsay confessed she is struggling with her career.
“I just want to be back on set. That makes me the happiest as a person – being able to be self-expressive through my work,” she said.
