Lindsay Lohan is reportedly single again.
The American actress was linked to former American footballer Matt Nordgren earlier this month.
However Us Weekly reports the pair, who were long-time friends, have called time on their brief relationship as they are too busy to see each other.
This quick romance comes after Lindsay served a 90-day stint in rehab earlier this year for reckless driving and lying to police during her June 2012 car crash.
“Their work schedules and the distance just make dating impossible,” a source revealed. “He really likes and respects her. He thinks she is back on top, emotionally and physically.”
While they may not be romantically involved anymore, Matt reportedly wants to continue their friendship. He is also happy to help support her as she overcomes her problems.
“He respects her sobriety and wishes her the absolute best. They will remain good friends,” the insider added.
It was only last week Matt was dubbed a good influence on the 27-year-old star. One of the ways he is thought to have positively influenced Lindsay is by keeping alcohol consumption to a minimum in front of her.
“He’s older, a successful businessman, and he has been a great friend to her,” an insider recently revealed. “He’s also a Christian and won’t drink around her. He’s trying to keep her sober and on the straight and narrow. He’s really good for her.”
His healthy lifestyle seems to have rubbed off on the Mean Girls actress. She is said to be dedicated to avoiding any substances and is feeling a lot better about her life.
“She is very happy and very committed to staying sober,” a source recently told America’s People magazine.
