Lena Dunham used to blog “exclusively” about cake.
The Girls creator has been working hard to get her website, which promotes her upcoming book Not That Kind of Girl: A Young Woman Tells You What She’s Learned, onto the net.
Now that it’s all done, the 27-year-old has found herself looking back on previous posts that made it onto the worldwide web.
“http://www.lenadunham.com is up and running- all book news, including the “about the ather” page I made for a “novel” I wrote at age 8,” she posted on Twitter.
“The last time I had a website I believe I described myself as a “rabble rouser” and blogged exclusively about cake so that’s upsetting (sic).”
On Monday Lena revealed the simple black and pink cover of her book on Instagram.
The memoir/advice tome is due for release on October 7 this year.
“This book contains stories about wonderful nights with terrible boys and terrible days with wonderful friends, about ambition and the two existential crises I had before the age of twenty…” she shares on her website.
“No, I am not a sexpert, a psychologist or a registered dietician. I am not a married mother of three or the owner of a successful hosiery franchise. But I am a girl with a keen interest in self-actualization, sending hopeful dispatches from the frontlines of that struggle.”
Girls is currently in its third season, also starring Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke and Zosia Mamet.
