Lea Michele “100 percent” wants kids.
The 27-year-old Glee star, whose boyfriend Cory Monteith passed away last year, is reportedly single at the moment. But that doesn’t mean her maternal instincts haven’t kicked in.
Appearing on Sirius Radio’s The Moms show this week, the star admitted she’s looks forward to one day settling down and starting a family.
“This is The Moms show and I’m a girl, so I don’t think it’s that crazy,” she said, hinting parenthood could still be several years in the distance.
“I’m still playing like a 19-year-old on TV,” the Glee star added.
Lea also credited her mom and dad with giving her the tools to one day become a great parent. But the star insists she’ll wait until she finds the right person to begin a family.
“I have the greatest parents. I really do,” she said, adding, “When you can see what it really looks like I think you can have an eye on how to find it. I’m a strong believer in that a good father will mold a great daughter. A lot of people think it’s the mom — it is the mom — but when your dad teaches you about what a good man should be like and all of that, I’m telling you.”
Lea has had a difficult year following Cory’s death from a drug/alcohol overdose last July. The actress earlier this month told fans she hasn’t forgotten about her late love.
Posting an old picture of the two of them together, she celebrated his memory on what would have been his 32nd birthday.
“The biggest heart and most beautiful smile… In all of our hearts… We love you so. Happy Birthday,” she wrote.
