Kristen Stewart is reportedly desperate for her and Demi Moore to play a “mother-daughter team” on screen.
The 24-year-old actress is said to be a huge fan of Demi, 51, and can think of nothing better than working with her. She even has a type of film in mind and is apparently trying to engineer ways to get close to her idol.
“Kristen is making serious noise about befriending Demi, whom she’s worshipped for years, and convincing her they should play a mother-daughter team in a new action comedy,” an insider told RadarOnline.
Both the stars have been through difficult times over the last few years. Kristen’s private life was thrust firmly into the limelight after she was caught having an affair with married Rupert Sanders, who directed her in 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman. She was dating her Twilight co-star Robert Pattinson at the time and publicly apologized to him, but they eventually went their separate ways.
Demi’s marriage to Ashton Kutcher fell apart at the end of 2011 after he was accused of being unfaithful. They are now divorced and while he has moved on and is expecting a baby with Mila Kunis, Demi has experienced a lot of problems and spent time in rehab. Kristen apparently thinks that embarking on a fun project together could make her and Demi put their “somewhat depressing public images” to bed once and for all.
Demi is apparently on board with the idea in principle, but has made it clear it’s all about the script. That’s made Kristen even more determined to make things work, something she’s apparently had her heart set on ever since she became jealous of Miley Cyrus for starring in 2012’s LOL alongside the older star.
“It’s been a long-held dream of Kristen’s to star in a movie with Demi. She’s been a fan of hers for a good 15 years and is on the hunt for a fun action role for her and Demi!” the insider said.
