Kris Jenner hates change because she’s a “creature of habit”.
The matriarch is promoting the latest series of her family’s TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians at the moment. It will feature the fallout from her marriage split from Bruce Jenner, as well as her daughter Khloé’s decision to divorce Lamar Odom.
Despite all the upheaval, Kris insists she is happiest when things are on an even keel.
“I don’t like change. It’s inevitable, there’s always going to be change in your life, but for me, I’m a creature of habit so I kind of like what’s going on,” she told UK TV show Lorraine.
There has been a lot of talk about how long the reality TV show will go on for. It’s been rumored that Kim might be thinking of withdrawing from it a bit to focus on her impending marriage to Kanye West and their daughter North, and Kris knows it won’t go on forever.
“I’ll definitely miss it. We’ve had the same crew since day one. They’re like our family, so I’ll miss that. And I’ll miss working with my kids every single day on that level, because that’s, you know, very tight,” she said.
“When you’re filming a show like this, and we’ve been doing it for a really long time, the minute the cameras go on… you forget they’re there five minutes later.”
The family has been accused of staging scenes for the show, with claims discussions between Kris and Kim about Kim’s ex-husband Kris Humphries – who she was married to for just 72 days – were shot just for the programme
The 58-year-old ‘momager’ insists the only planned scenes are major events, such as holidays.
“We just live our lives and make a film. They have some very talented editors who take hours and hours and hours of footage and put it into these episodes that turn out to be what they are,” she said. “We don’t have scripts so we don’t have things that we’re supposed to say. We just go and film and have fun. There’s a lot of things that we have planned, like family vacations. It’s fascinating to watch or listen to someone else’s perspective on your life and we’re just having a really good time.”
